Samantha dunnum, lcsw

Hi there, my name is Sam and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I have my MSS from Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research. I completed an Advanced Post Master’s Social Work Fellowship program at the Yale Child Study Center with a focus on providing intensive in-home child, parent, and family therapy to at-risk youth.

I’ve worked with ages 4-18, as well as adults. I have experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, parents, and families dealing with a wide range of challenges including the impacts of generational trauma, parent-child relational challenges, and relational difficulties. I’ve also worked with a wide range of diagnoses including depression, anxiety, autism, adjustment disorders, PTSD, and mood disorder.

I’ve worked in a variety of settings including homes, schools, clinics and in the community. During my time working with children, adolescents and families, who’ve presented with complex and dynamic challenges they wish to work on, I’ve learned that the most important part of our time together is building a strong therapeutic relationship.
